For Breast Cancer patients, we recommend following steps :-

1. Step 1 :- Confirmation of Diagnosis - commonly by
   
   • FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology)
   • Trucut Biopsy


2. Step 2:- Staging (i.e. Defining the extent of disease) - may need
   
   • USG (Ultrasonography) of Bilateral Breasts and Axilla
   • Mammography - in some cases
   • Chest X Ray - PA View
   • USG Whole Abdomen and Pelvis
   • CECT (Contrast Enhanced CT Scan) Chest - in some cases
   • CECT or CE-MRI Whole Abdomen and Pelvis - in some cases
   • Whole Body Bone Scan - in some cases
   • 18-FDG Whole Body PET CT Scan - in some cases


3. Step 3:- Deciding the line of management - Any one or more of the following, depending on the stage of the disease
   
   • Surgery
   • Radiotherapy
   • Chemotherapy
   • Targetted Therapy
   • Hormone Therapy
